HANNIBAL RISING is the newest movie in the successful Hannibal Lecter series from author Thomas Harris. HANNIBAL RISING is the prequeled story to Hannibal's notorious actions as an adult and traces back his story to when he was a child and teen growing up in Eastern Europe.

HANNIBAL RISING, as a novel, was released for last years Christmas rush. The book met with mixed reviews and it is noted that Thomas Harris wrote the screenplay. However, early word is that Gaspard Ulliel, who plays the young Hannibal, gives a strong performance and the movie might surprise people.
